Preparation for the Promise

Make your requests known. You have not because you ask not. He’ll give you the desires of your heart. These biblical phrases are all too familiar when we desire God to move on something in our lives. The question is, have we counted up the cost? Are we ready to partake of the cup of suffering that goes along with it? Personally, I’ve fought against the struggles in my life, wondering why I had to endure such pain only to realize I asked for it. Huh?? Asked for it? Yea, remember the time you said, “more of you Lord, less of me” or “use me Lord” or “Lord, get the glory”. We had no idea that in order to get to the blessing we had to get through the struggle. God is readying us for the blessing! Endure just a little while longer and know it’s all preparation for the promise.
